Telecoms Engineer

Senior Management

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct independent telecommunications engineering work on medium-sized projects
Design, develop, modify, and evaluate ICT-Telecommunications systems and components
Apply Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, guides, and Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
Develop conceptual telecommunications designs for projects with specialized or unique requirements
Support preparation of cost estimates, staffing needs, and schedules
Interpret and apply regulations, codes, standards, and performance criteria
Coordinate telecommunications design activities with client representatives
Conduct or lead special studies on new telecommunications methods, materials, and techniques
Participate in and support technical training and development programs

Required

Strong knowledge of ICT-Telecommunications systems and design methodologies
Experience developing network topology, DAS, data center telecom designs, and horizontal distribution
Understanding of the OSI Model, rack layouts, and structured cabling systems
Ability to evaluate technical and cost considerations when selecting design features
Strong communication skills for technical and client-facing interactions
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a related discipline
8-10 years of relevant experience
12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Preferred

RCDD certification preferred
Experience with CAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office tools
Prior experience supporting EPC or large-scale industrial projects
