Lead C++ Software Engineer - FPGA Based Prototyping (R44516/kr)
Cadence is a leading company in EDA technology, and they are seeking a Lead C++ Software Engineer to join their Protium Software Development Team. The role involves developing advanced algorithms for FPGA-based prototyping and pre-silicon validation, focusing on performance and scalability.
Responsibilities
Design and implement high-performance algorithms in C/C++ for FPGA-based synthesis and technology mapping
Drive QoR and performance improvements across the Protium Compiler and automation flows
Build and evolve EDA automation pipelines that support large-scale FPGA prototyping
Collaborate closely with architects and fellow engineers to turn ideas into production-ready software
Write clear design specifications, unit tests, and well-structured, maintainable code
Qualification
Required
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or
MS with 2+ years, or
PhD with a thesis in a related area
Strong, modern C/C++ programming skills and deep object-oriented design experience
Hands-on experience with FPGA or ASIC prototyping, synthesis, or verification, with a track record of delivering excellent QoR
Solid understanding of digital logic and circuits
Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog
Preferred
Experience with logic simulators
Knowledge of multi-threaded or concurrent programming
Exposure to ML/AI techniques applied in production software
