Origin Bank is seeking an Insurance Intern to join their Insurance & Risk Management Team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain foundational knowledge in insurance and customer service while developing business skills through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the marketing manager and/or sales manager in developing and implementing business-development initiatives

Assist in marketing activities such as prospect research, lead generation, submit applications and prepare proposals for presentation

Learn how to input applications into the agency management system

Prepare certificates of insurance and prepare company specific applications

Review activities that are documented in the agency management system

Maintain own follow-up on outstanding policy items

Working with our account executive teams you will learn about our business through on-the-job training, servicing customer accounts, identifying possible new business/prospects, and managing account expiration lists

Assist in maintaining accurate client records, policy documentation, and other critical data

Help in managing policies endorsements, renewals, and disbursement

Assist team members to learn and participate in all aspects of claims within both Commercial lines and Personal lines of business

Assist risk managers in pre-call strategy, closing techniques, answering objections, and working to an agreement, and attend personal visits with customers

Enjoy attending different events that foster community involvement. Learn to work beyond the office, give back to the community, and experience opportunities that will lead to building new relationships and strengthening current ones
