Responsibilities
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of landing, invoices, orders, or other records
Work with local carriers to schedule pickups for both International and Domestic shipments
Utilize the shipping backlog to ensure on-time the shipping in a 24/7 operating environment
Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Inserts items into containers, using spaces, fillers and protective padding
Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Package product according to company guidelines
Work with shift supervisor and production manager to prioritize orders and ensure jobs are packaged and shipped on schedule
Collaborate with business management resources to confirm daily shipments
Provide Oracle system transactions to ensure accurate material tracking
Responsible for ensuring Trade Compliance and Customs are within compliance
Share Warehouse workload with team members to include pulling material for internal requests, Chemical deliveries, Daily Cycle Counts
Follow all company policies and guidelines
May perform other duties as assigned not listed in job description
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well as an individual or team member
Strong grasp of international and domestic shipping
Ability to work closely with local couriers to protect OTD schedules
Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding, and sometimes unpredictable high-tech environment
Experience to anticipate issues that could lead to shipping delays

Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, or crouching for up to 10 hours a day
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. or more
Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred
Customs and Trade compliance experience is desired of this position to protect the company from fines and our customer's products from being held due to non-compliance
