The role involves conducting various types of surveys, operating surveying instruments, and supporting engineering designers while working in outdoor environments.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Conduct topographic surveys, construction layout and GPS surveys
Operate field surveying instruments, Trimble Total Stations, data collectors and GPS equipment
Gather accurate field data and notes
Set up, operate and maintain survey equipment
Process and organize survey data for use in CAD
Support land surveyors and engineering designers
Travel to job sites in company-provided vehicles, including some that are out of town
Qualification
Required
Some professional experience, but if you are a recent grad, eager to learn and motivated, we are interested
Be willing to work hard, be reliable and willing to work in the field daily
Have a valid driver's license
Have strong analytical and organizational skills
Be a team player
Preferred
An associate degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology is a plus, but it is not required
Know land surveying practices, field procedures and terminology
Have experience with total stations, GPS and data collectors
