Responsibilities

Conducting supplier audits and assessments to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
Developing and implementing supplier quality standards, performance metrics, and improvement plans to ensure compliance with Moog and regulatory requirements
This includes managing and resolving non-conformances, including the implementation of supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Managing root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce defects and improve reliability using lean principles and tools
Collaborating with internal and external cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions
Support qualification of new suppliers and materials through rigorous testing and documentation
Reviewing and approving supplier documentation (e.g., PPAP submissions, control plans, FMEAs)
Maintaining accurate records of quality activities and provide regular reports to stakeholders
Actively participating and utilize the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) concepts where applicable

Required

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline plus 3-5 years relevant experience
OR a relevant degree with 10+ years experience in a manufacturing setting
At least 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Assurance within aerospace or a similarly regulated industry (e.g., automotive, medical devices)
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (AS9100 and related aerospace requirements)
Experience utilizing problem solving tools and methodologies to identify root cause and implementing corrective/preventive actions (e.g. 8D, 5-why, etc.)
Experience using industry standard quality tools and APQP methodologies (for example: FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Capability Analysis, Error Proofing)
Experience conducting internal, supplier, or customer audits, including process audits where quality cannot be verified through inspection
Solid understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred

Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab)
Knowledge of specific aerospace standards such as AS13000 series, AS9102, AS9145, AMS 2750, and special process specifications for NDT, anodize, etc
