Responsibilities
Duties include handling litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution
Attorney will complete extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations, negotiate on behalf of clients, draft and interpret contracts and legal documents
Attending court hearings and trials, preparing pleadings and letters, handling discovery requests and taking depositions
Draft motions, responses and other filings in state and federal court cases
Appear in court, take and defend depositions, interact with clients
Manage litigation dockets with an understanding of scheduling orders and case strategy
Handle discovery matters, including discovery requests, responses and motions
Investigate facts with an innovative and pragmatic approach
Qualification
Required
5+ years handling personal injury litigation matters
Active & good standing with FL State Bar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated personality
Admitted to the Florida Bar or another state bar
5+ years of legal experience
Deadline and detail-oriented
Preferred
Candidates with specific exposure to the areas of personal injury and property damage litigation are preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred but not required
