Technical Board Assistant & Ship Deck Superintendent
MSC Cruises is hiring for a Technical Board Assistant & Ship Deck Superintendent to join their Miami technical office. This role involves supporting the Grand Bahamas Shipboard members with documentation and reporting, participating in meetings, and collaborating with the Marine Operations Team on various ship-related activities.

Responsibilities
Reviews and checks correspondence, reporting and highlighting important issues raised
Participates in various important meetings, supporting in the preparation notes or minutes
Makes short summaries or internal reports for the Board Members evaluation when needed
Visits the shipyard when needed to check activities
Speaks directly with the shipyard management or other shareholders’ representatives when required, as instructed by the Board Members
Keeps contact with management and technical departments
Ensures the required level of confidentiality and reliability of information
Supports the Deck & Dry Dock Superintendent in Marine Operations Department
Qualification
Required
Degree qualified in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
A good understanding of shipbuilding and ship repair processes, including Dry Dock activities, from a technical background
Ability to travel to the yard, where required
Proactive and Organised, with the ability to work both independently or within a team
The ability to understand complex situations and provide simplified explanations
The ability to live and work in the US without restrictions
Must be able to travel without restrictions
Preferred
Experience in shipbuilding, refit, or technical project management is preferred
