Responsibilities

Serving as team leader, responsible for more complex support functions and leader of a medium to large number of employees who perform work supportive of, CBP Officers (CBPO), CBP Agriculture Specialists (CBPAS), Entry/Import Specialists, and Fines, Penalties and Forfeiture (FPF) Officers
Distributing and balancing workload based on available resources and priorities, tracks work status to assure timely accomplishment of work
Evaluating and resolving discrepancies requiring judgement and ability to reconstruct past actions/circumstances
Coordinating or entering information into automated systems; reconciling accounts and resolving errors on collection documents; reviewing and correcting error reports, resolving them and coordinating information for report resolution for Customs Entry Officers and Import Specialists

Required

You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position

Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years

Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 12/31/2025
Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet the requirement of 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as inspecting, gathering, and recording information concerning persons, cargo, conveyances, merchandise, mail, and other miscellaneous items in accordance with established guidelines under supervision and guidance
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations
You must complete all required steps in the process, including the application and application questionnaire, and any required assessments
