Vice President - Local Business Line Leader
WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm dedicated to serving local communities. They are seeking a Vice President - Local Business Line Leader to lead and support a portfolio of transportation projects in Louisiana, focusing on strategic growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Optimizes the client and employee experience through regular review and implements process improvements
Focuses on innovation and enhancing health & safety, quality and sustainable standards
Develops local growth, forecast and business development strategy in collaboration with District, Region and National Business Line Leaders
Resolves conflict and other internal/external issues that may arise in the office, amongst WSP’s client base, or on projects
Collaborate with regional, district leaders and other area leaders to strategically drive the business, manage project performance, oversee overhead expenditures, and meet operational financial metrics
Works with the Business Line leader to attract the best industry talent by fostering a work environment that is collaborative, values inclusion and diversity and invites broad, creative thinking – crafting a more attractive place to work, grow and thrive
Emphasizes employee training and development to create a unique work experience
Inspires, motivates and promotes the best of WSP to our clients and communities to ensure strong employee engagement and morale
Supports programs such as Safety, Sustainability and Ethics & Compliance
Provide leadership and mentoring to Louisiana staff
Brings an expanded view and integrated response to complex challenges by leveraging our full suite of offerings across all end markets
Utilizes our extended reach across regions, districts, offices and the globe to foster new and innovative client delivery
Deploys our unique expertise and perspective to create new value for clients and provides civic and industry leadership within the local area
Drives performance of the business and strategically grows our market share to ensure WSP is a preferred provider to our clients
Manages local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with Region, District, National Business Lines, and Pursuit Management
Leverages our broad technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings
Fosters the development of new and emerging innovations to remain the trusted thought leaders in our industry
Advances the strategic direction of the district and region in the location of responsibility for sustained and continued growth consistent within the context of the strategic plan
Encourages, supports and promotes the technical and professional development of local WSP staff
Key performance indicators include: EBITDA, Organic Growth, DSO, Utilization, Backlog, Inclusion & Diversity and Guiding Principles
Qualification
Required
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation engineering or equivalent experience in the A/E/C industry with a strong focus in transportation infrastructure
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Louisiana
Established LADOTD, Transportation Agency, and other relevant client relationships and industry contacts in the Louisiana geography
Recent LADOTD Design and Project Management experience related to transportation infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, collectors, arterials, local roads, bike and pedestrian shared use paths, etc.)
Business Development and Client Service to a broad range of client types
Demonstrated goal-oriented experience in leadership, personal accountability, and persistence
Effective communication with team members and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
Proven experience in professional communication, including presentations, written reports, and group facilitation
Ability to innovate and re-think the conventional approach to client and employee engagement
Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes
Sound decision-making, strategic and visionary thinking, and creative business development capabilities across a multi-disciplined practice
Commitment to internal and external client service
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
