Responsibilities
Incumbents will generally work under direct supervision and perform routine tasks following established guidelines or procedures
Incumbents will help conduct fish population surveys on streams, lakes, and reservoirs; assist with habitat improvement projects; conduct creel survey interviews; prepare, repair, and gather equipment for surveys; record data; enter data into databases; and prepare fish aging structures for lab analysis; and complete other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid drivers license
Experience following oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures
Some knowledge of life history, anatomy, and ecology of various fish species
Preferred
Previous experience operating boats, ATVs, and UTVs
Hitching and pulling trailers
Working and recreating in remote locations
Relevant professional or volunteer-related experience
Previous college coursework in topics related to fisheries science
