Responsibilities

Schedule and communicate interview details with participants, ensuring all necessary equipment is functional and charged
Review participant records for background information and prepare incentives
Set up and manage the interview environment, ensuring privacy and minimal interruptions
Conduct interviews adhering to the interview guide, including briefing participants and ensuring all key topics are covered, and take detailed notes
Monitor audio quality during interviews and record using audio/video devices if consented to by the participant
Ensure data handling and security of audio recordings, transfer files securely, and review and quality check transcriptions
Prepare data for analysis by adding interviewer notes and coding/tagging data in Dedoose according to research requirements
Support participant payment and retention efforts, including sending tailored correspondence and maintaining accurate records of communications and issues resolved
Assist with participant surveys, check-ins, and participant inquiries and communication

Required

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
1+ years of work experience in a related field such health equity, social justice, participatory research, community-based research, etc
Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal communication)
Organization: Demonstrates strong organizational skills by effectively managing interview schedules, payment tracking, and maintaining orderly documentation
Attention to Detail: Ensures high standards in data accuracy, coding, and payment tracking
Communication: Communicates clearly with participants, team members, and external partners, and raises work-related concerns constructively
Technical Proficiency: Efficiently handles audio recording equipment and software, uses platforms like REDCap and Dedoose, and tracks payment issues
Teamwork: Cooperates with peers and supervisors to establish a collaborative working relationship
Honesty/Integrity: Adheres to ethical standards, earning trust and maintaining confidences
Independent and Proactive: Takes initiative with appropriate supervision, brings new ideas and solutions, and escalates concerns when needed
