Responsibilities

Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
Maintenance Control planning & management
Support Equipment (SE) operation, repair, and inspections
Aircraft inspections
Corrosion Control/Aircraft Painting
Troubleshooting
Preservation and de-preservation
General engine maintenance
Technical Directive compliance and modifications
Individual Material Readiness List (IMR), and Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program Management
F404-GE-400/402 teardown and disposition
F414-GE-400 Complete engine and engine module tear down and build-up
Maintain Aircraft, Engines, and SE Logbooks

Required

Active Secret Clearance is required for this role
Combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty
Ability to prioritize workloads and lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks
Ability to inspect Mechanic IIs and Is
Maintain repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty
Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions
Apply required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation
Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals
Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts
Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
Basic knowledge of electrical theory
Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
Working knowledge of technical publications
Ability to make entries in aircraft logs and records
Ability to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects

Preferred

May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines

Benefits

Health and Welfare of $5.36 for each hour worked to be used for medical expenses/health benefits, any unused funds will roll over into a 401k at the end of the year.
