Responsibilities
Oversee and manage multiple civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, actively participating in business development and marketing initiatives
Lead project teams, providing mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses for potential projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
Perform and review advanced engineering calculations, ensuring accuracy in detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those specific to Newport Beach and California
Drive innovation by researching and implementing cutting-edge civil engineering technologies and methodologies
Prepare and present comprehensive project reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project design and management
Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and regulations, with a focus on California and Newport Beach-specific requirements
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite
Strong mathematical and analytical skills for advanced civil design engineering
Demonstrated experience in managing project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
Excellent leadership abilities with a collaborative approach to team-based problem-solving
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and client presentations
Ability to think innovatively and implement creative solutions to complex engineering challenges
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Adaptability to changing project requirements and industry trends
