Security System Technician

Responsibilities
Assist with the commissioning of new security systems on customer sites documenting commissioning details
Assist with testing and inspecting of existing security systems
Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
Complete commissioning within planned timelines
Submit accurate time and expense logs
Work overtime when needed
Qualification
Required
Electro-mechanical experience (either from a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skill
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
Experience with Microsoft Office
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
6+ months experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
