Lead OR Scheduler

Responsibilities
Scheduling surgical procedures
Performing clerical and receptionist functions essential to delivering efficient patient care in the Surgical Services Department
Rotating to other areas other than his/her normally assigned service (surgery)
Performing duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency
Performing delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice
Scheduling for Endoscopy, Pre Admission Testing, and resource management for Interventional Radiology
Maintaining accuracy of scheduled cases, flow of the OR schedule, accuracy of preference cards, and accuracy of block schedule
Entering clinical data into InVivoLink system
Entering data for immediate use for Sterile Processing Department
Accurately maintaining employee time via Kronos system
Participating in quality efficiency meetings, including Metric Review and Case Cancellation
Evaluating cancellations, analyzing available data, reporting recommendations, and implementing changes
Managing Medicare Medical Necessity process
Analyzing data related to resources, reporting recommendations, and implementing changes
Displaying positive support for the values and mission of SRMC
Qualification
Required
Responsible for scheduling surgical procedures
Responsible for clerical and receptionist functions essential to delivering efficient patient care in the Surgical Services Department

Perform duties for which demonstrated competency
Perform delegated duties consistent with scope of practice
Function within the philosophy and overall plan for SRMC
Scheduling for Endoscopy, Pre Admission Testing, and resource management for Interventional Radiology
Support and follow SRMC policy and procedures
Work closely with the OR staff to maintain accuracy of scheduled cases
Maintain flow of the OR schedule
Maintain accuracy of preference cards and block schedule
Enter clinical data into InVivoLink system
Enter data for immediate use for Sterile Processing Department
Accurately maintain employee time via Kronos system
Participate in quality efficiency meetings, including Metric Review and Case Cancellation
Evaluate cancellations, analyze available data, report recommendations, and implement changes
Manage Medicare Medical Necessity process
Analyze data related to resources, report recommendations, and implement changes
