Lorain County Community College is inviting qualified candidates to express their interest in future openings for the Tutor position. The Tutor will provide individual and small group tutoring to support student learning and help them achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

Provides one-on-one or small group tutoring in assigned location (i.e. in-person, online, in the classroom)

Works with a diverse student population to support learning of key concepts and study strategies

Provides students with positive and constructive feedback

Maintains accurate records of tutoring sessions

Collaborates with faculty, students, and other stakeholders to support student success

Continuously engages in professional growth and development, including staying current in the curricula, leveraging best practices, and reviewing student feedback

May assist in developing materials to support tutoring in the discipline or student skills

Other duties as assigned by Dean/Coordinator
