Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end centralized intake process, ensuring all new submissions are triaged, categorized, and routed efficiently

Own the structure, organization, and overall health of the Unified Backlog in Jira

Lead work projection and planning efforts to accomplish objectives of all stakeholders

Manage the prioritization process, including preparing requests for review and facilitating meetings using the Value vs. Effort matrix

Ensure every backlog item is properly categorized, scored, and includes a clear problem statement and expected outcome

Lead continuous improvement of intake and backlog workflows, including ServiceNow-to-Jira integration

Collaborate with Product Managers to align backlog sequencing with team capacity and roadmap priorities

Generate and share reports on intake and backlog health, including submission volume, backlog size, item age, and distribution by request type or strategic theme

Facilitate high-stakes meetings with cross-functional leaders to drive consensus and decision-making

Apply advanced Jira features (roadmaps, automation, dashboards) to optimize backlog management

Champion Agile best practices and continuous process improvement across intake and backlog functions

Educate and guide others to deepen and expand their knowledge of intake and backlog processes

Required

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Requires a minimum of 7 years' prior relevant experience in product operations, backlog management, or technical program management

Requires experience facilitating high-stakes meetings with cross-functional leaders

Requires strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to prioritization and process improvement

Requires experience in the healthcare or health plan technology industry

Hands-on experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, preferably ServiceNow preferred

Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the product development lifecycle preferred
