Responsibilities

Handle patient accounts after medical services have been rendered

Liaison between our company and our patients and health plans

Verify patient information

Obtaining and releasing clinical documentation

Appeals/denials

Responds to health plan inquiries

Process and perform follow-up on aging accounts

Generate collection reports

Research and resolve delinquent accounts

Qualification

Healthcare billing experienceMedical Biller/Coder certificationEMR/EHR proficiencyBilingual SpanishMulti-taskingEffective communicationSelf-motivationTime management

Required

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to use various computer programs and applications, IE EMR/EHR

Ability to self-motivate and work independently

Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively

Preferred

2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within Home Care Services preferred

Bilingual Spanish a plus

Medical Biller/Coder certification highly desired
