BUSINESS ANALYST
The Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) is seeking a Business Analyst for the Information Technology Division. This role serves as the primary liaison between the IT Division and agency divisions, focusing on supporting key business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
Acts as primary liaison between the Information Technology Division and agency divisions and sections
Supports the organization's key business processes and applications and gathers and documents business requirements for all projects
Provides functional expertise to developers during the design and construction phases of projects and maintains business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools, and processes as standard practice
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in business analysis or Salesforce platform
Knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and software development
Knowledge of data quality best practices, including profiling
Knowledge of project management techniques such as project workflow, time estimates, budget estimates, resource allocation, etc
Familiarity with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge
Knowledge of water resources policy and history
Skills in business and systems analysis
Demonstrating analytical skills to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
Problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, as well as verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research independently
Strong customer service skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to balance and organize multiple tasks
Ability to assess operational needs to establish priorities
Ability to effectively translate user requirements into business, functional, and test scenarios for projects of various sizes and complexity, and develop and write technical documentation
Ability to produce quality work and meet deadlines
Ability to develop technical documentation
Ability to design effective business procedures and processes to enhance the overall quality of applications
Ability to learn new analytical tools
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
Ability to complete feasibility reviews and impact analysis, and make appropriate recommendations
Ability to build relationships, gain consensus, and work collaboratively in teams across the agency
Ability to identify opportunities for solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste
