Responsibilities
Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and construction management practices in the field and in office settings supporting the construction administration roles
Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Construction Manager or Engineer to support project proposal efforts, including procurement and project controls, interpreting construction drawings, and reviewing construction submittals
Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional's programs
Spend time on construction sites for inspection duties, monitoring contractor activity, completing Daily Work Reports, and facilitating submittal reviews
Perform other duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
Attention to detail a must
Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Completion of at least two years in Construction Management or Civil Engineering programs
Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
Ability to travel to remote locations in Alaska and work long hours for extended periods of time
Preference given to local candidates
