Responsibilities
Deliver quality routine laboratory testing to OSUMC patients and clients as well as to the community
Maintain and troubleshoot all laboratory needs related to Mysis, Atlas web based order entry software, E-Results and Customer service needs
Order and process patient specimens using prescribed Mysis, Atlas methodology and instrumentation
Assist with preparation of specimens for routine and STAT orders for chemistry, hematology, and coagulation analysis on blood, urine and other body fluids
Assist Medical Technologists in other aspects of laboratory functions to include Quality Control, Quality Assurance and instrument maintenance
Participate in Mysis and Atlas continuing education activities scheduled by the laboratory
Assist with training of new employees and students
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Certification or vocational training may be required
1 year of relevant experience required
Preferred
Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred
4-6 years of relevant experience preferred
