The Senior System Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of these devices by designing and executing testing protocols, collaborating with various engineering teams, and contributing to the overall development of the robotics platform.

Responsibilities
Design, build and run electronic test fixtures, e.g. factory validation testing and HIL
Independently design, build and run the instrumentation software for test-rigs of electromechanical parts (e.g. dynos for actuator testing, full-system rigs for looking at structural fatigue over millions of cycles, etc.)
Data analysis, signal processing and debugging to inform bring-up and future design cycles
Work with the EE, firmware, and software teams to implement quality assurance testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing for new software releases
Suggest and implement diagnostic tests for consumer devices in the field
Wearing prototypes several hours a week to participate in data collection, on-body testing and provide feedback
Basic test lab management, including keeping space clean, safe and functional
Bring joy to the team, participate in embarrassing team events, tolerate KZ’s terrible music choices
Qualification
Required
2-5 years' experience in professional setting as a test engineer
Excellence coding in python and Linux to run powered tests and analyze results
Experience with designing and running test fixtures for mechanical and electrical reliability
A scrappiness to build and troubleshoot systems
Attention to detail and super organised
Able to deliver quality work in a fast-paced startup environment
Ability to relocate to work at the Skip Bay Area office
Sense of humour, tolerant of Aussie & Canadian spelling
Preferred
Experience with robotics or mechatronics
Experience with testing for powered consumer electronics (e.g. drones, robot vacuums)
Basic C/C++
Experience in start-up environments
Personal motivation to improve human movement
