The Natchez Trace Parkway, part of the National Park Service, is looking for an Administrative Support Assistant to join their Administrative Division. Responsibilities

Be the main point of contact for HR matters within the organization
Oversee various HR functions like recruiting, bringing new employees onboard, advising on employee benefits, and tracking performance evaluations and award submissions
Provide guidance and support to both employees and management by offering advice on personnel policies and professional development opportunities
Handle administrative tasks such as managing office supplies, coordinating meetings, and ensuring effective communication throughout the organization
Submit actions on behalf of the parkway, keeping track of employee attendance and leaves
Assist the Supervisor in developing policies and managing/posting job openings online, shortlisting candidates, and scheduling job interviews
Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new hires, ensuring clear communication with employees and prompt resolution of any inquiries they may have

Required

U.S. Citizenship required
Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males
Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program
You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties
You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards
You may be required to work overtime work
You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority
Type 40 wpm (You must submit a self-certification or a statement in your resume that indicate you can type at least 40 wpm.)
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience
To qualify for this position at the GS-0303-05 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-GS-0303-04 grade level in the Federal service
EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least four years of education above high school (120 semester hour or 180 quarter hours) leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation
Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above
You must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs
