Responsibilities
Researching and drafting motions, deposition outline and exhibit preparation, motion practice, discovery coordination, and an excellent understanding of civil procedure
Taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, managing large complex discovery, and participating in business development efforts
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience as a practicing litigator in connection with complex business disputes
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced litigation practice
Excellent academic credentials
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experience in researching and drafting motions
Experience in deposition outline and exhibit preparation
Experience in motion practice
Experience in discovery coordination
Excellent understanding of civil procedure
Substantive experience in one of the following areas: complex commercial disputes, white collar criminal defense, telecommunications litigation, or privacy litigation
Willingness to learn other areas as necessary
Ability to take and defend depositions
Ability to argue motions
Ability to manage large complex discovery
Ability to meaningfully participate in business development efforts
Must be licensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in Washington, DC
Preferred
Federal clerkship
Big law experience
Maryland and/or Virginia bar
