Technology Conference and Event Coordinator

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Technology Conference and Event Coordinator to join their firmwide Technology Solutions team. This role will plan and coordinate KHTS’ participation at industry conferences, implement marketing activities, and support the development of content for both internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

Work with Kimley-Horn conference attendees to coordinate our engagement and effective attendance at conferences
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop proposals for speaker presentations, white papers, project awards, and other marketing content
Support or lead product demonstrations and presentations at industry events to generate leads
Write and edit content for social media platforms, award submittals, and other channels as needed
Coordinate event-related needs such as registering conference attendees, ordering promotional giveaways, tracking deadlines, developing marketing materials, data entry, and other department activities, as needed
Work with product marketing and communications partners to promote conference involvement (i.e. speakers, booths, awards) and other marketing activities
Willingness and ability to travel (9-12 times per calendar year)
Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Required

Bachelor's in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, English, Human-Centered Design, or a similar field
5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or event coordination
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments and deadlines concurrently
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated organization, detail orientation, and follow-through skills
Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to be flexible, including handling last-minute or large-scale requests
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
Exceptional client service mentality, strong work ethic, and take-charge attitude

Preferred

A/E/C or SaaS industry experience preferred
