Responsibilities

Operates video production equipment, including, but not limited to, cameras and camera support equipment, audio and lighting equipment, video switchers and routers, teleprompters and recording devices, program scheduling and playback equipment, and video editing and graphics systems
Performs as producer, co-producer, director, writer, editor and/or talent for various projects
Coordinates with appropriate elected officials, City Departments and public for any special programming and/or requests
Schedules times, reserves locations and secures talent for production
Performs tasks to support administrative functions of the Division, and other related duties, as assigned

Qualification

Video production theoryAdobe Premiere ProEditing systemsCamera operationPublic relations techniquesTrainingEvaluatingEffective working relationships

Required

Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in television or video production that includes experience editing in a formal post-production environment
Associates of Art degree
Valid and appropriate California driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred

Experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro is highly desirable
