The Afternoon News Producer will be responsible for producing engaging newscasts, managing breaking news, and collaborating with various teams to create compelling content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

Produce engaging afternoon newscasts

React quickly to breaking news and manage control-room timing

Write, edit, and organize rundowns with strong editorial judgment

Collaborate with anchors, reporters, photographers, editors, and story desk teams

Balance hard news, weather, sports, politics, and feature content

Create content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms

Qualification

Required

3–5+ years of full-time news producing experience

Degree in journalism, communications, or related field

Strong breaking news instincts and communication skills

Commitment to viewer-focused, accurate, and impactful journalism

Produce mobile short videos daily
