Responsibilities

Support the operations and maintenance of the wastewater collection system and treatment plant by providing technical support through data analysis and monitoring to optimize operations

Evaluate sewer system capacity throughout the wastewater service area through the deployment of continuous flow monitoring equipment

Evaluate and monitor inflow and infiltration throughout the sewer system

Lead and/or participate in the investigation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and close-out of corrective and preventive actions

Conduct chemical trials to support operations

Lead energy management efforts for the treatment plant

Conduct pilot studies of innovative technologies

Conduct life-cycle and planning studies of systems and alternatives to support operation and maintenance activities

Stay abreast of innovation and emerging technologies in the wastewater industry

Represent the wastewater division at professional conferences and seminars

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering or a related field OR High School Diploma or G.E.D.; supplemented by additional engineering technology coursework and six (6) years of related engineering experience

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license

If a degreed engineer, must have ability to obtain an EIT certificate within 2 years of employment

If not a degreed engineer, must have the ability to obtain an EIT certificate within 2 years of employment
