Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is a local, independent, and physician-owned medical group seeking skilled Nurse Practitioners to join their Internal Medicine team. The role involves providing patient-centered care, managing chronic conditions, and performing various clinical responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Health Care

Responsibilities

Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history, physical exams, preventive screening, and identifies medical health risks and needs

Formulates the appropriate physical diagnosis based on clinical evaluation

Performs, orders, and/or interprets diagnostic studies within the scope of practice and clinical area of practice at the Boulder Medical Center, P.C

Documents all clinical information in the patient's chart promptly and ensures that all charges are accurately submitted in a timely manner

Performs advanced technical procedures within the scope of clinical practice

Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include medical management strategies, including prescription of medications. Includes obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority per State Board Medical Examiner regulations

Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with BMC physicians and other health care providers as appropriate

Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home

Provides direction to the Medical Assistant assigned to support the APP in the clinic

Required

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner curriculum

Active Colorado State License and DEA licensure

3+ years of NP experience in practice, preferably in Internal Medicine
