Associate Fashion Designer - Kids Sportswear
Rare Editions is a leading children’s apparel brand known for quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and timeless style. They are expanding their sportswear division and seeking a creative, detail-oriented Associate Fashion Designer to design fun, functional, and fashion-forward sportswear for girls’ sizes 2–6X. The role involves developing seasonal collections, researching trends, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the designs meet market demands and brand aesthetic.

Responsibilities
Design girls’ sportswear collections for sizes 2–6X, including tops, bottoms, sets, and active-inspired pieces
Research trends, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes relevant to the children’s sportswear market
Create sketches, tech packs, and detailed design specifications
Work closely with pattern makers and production teams to ensure proper fit and quality
Participate in fittings and approve samples through all stages of development
Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to align designs with business goals
Track development calendars and meet seasonal deadlines
Communicate with overseas and domestic vendors as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
5+ years of experience designing children's apparel (sportswear experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of children's sizing, fit, and construction for sizes 2–6X
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience creating tech packs and working with factories
Strong sense of color, print, and fabric selection
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
