The United States Army is seeking an Apprentice Field Service Technician to support the Army Recreation Machine Program (ARMP). The role involves cash collection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gaming and non-gaming equipment.

Responsibilities

Supports ARMP by collecting and documenting cash from gaming equipment, verifying jackpots, and maintaining records
Cleans, troubleshoots, and performs minor repairs on machines, installs upgrades, assists with equipment and network support, and coordinates with ARMP staff and partners
Works under the direct supervision of the field operations manager and/or supervisory technician in support of the Army Recreation Machine Program (ARMP)
Performs all required cash collections of gaming and non-gaming equipment using a data collection device or handwritten documents
Performs automated cash machine (ACM) count-downs and fills
Counts and records all coin and currency counts in the presence of a location representative
Checks, verifies, and records all machine bookkeeping data and prepares all required drop documentation
Upon completion of collections and fills, ensure that all data uploads are complete, documentation is accurately prepared, and it is filed as established by the field office operations manager
Verify, process, and authorize payment of gaming machine jackpots, ensuring all required documentation is completed and filed
Performs cleaning of all gaming and non-gaming equipment as directed by, and under the supervision of, the field office operations manager, the supervisory technician, or the regional manager
Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on gaming and amusement equipment, ACM, card dispenser (ITC), and associated peripheral equipment under the direct supervision of the field office manager, the supervisory technician, or regional manager
Assists with the installation, support, and maintenance of all ARMP-operated equipment
Moves and installs all field operation equipment
Serves as a liaison between internal ARMP departments, outside agency representatives, and the field office operations manager
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High School graduate or equivalent
All candidates (to include current employees) are required to include transcripts with their application package
Only education from accredited and pre-accredited institutions will be accepted
Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency in the United States
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold a valid U.S. passport, and be at least 18 years of age
Successful completion of an on-the-job training certification program in cash collection, gaming/no gaming equipment, ARMP network within 1 year of employment
Must have a valid U.S. vehicle operator's license and vehicle operator's license in host country where employed
Work experience directly related to the duties described above
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Typical work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as frequent climbing of ladders, lifting objects over 45 pounds or over, crouching or crawling in restricted areas
