Communications and Content Manager

Flynn Wendy’s is a leading franchisee of Wendy’s and a premier brand within Flynn Group, seeking a versatile and innovative Communications & Content Manager. The role involves leading communications initiatives, crafting strategies, and producing content that resonates with diverse audiences while collaborating across functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage cohesive communication plans across channels including email, text, newsletters, intranet, and social media
Produce compelling written and visual content that aligns with our brand voice and drives engagement
Maintain, organize, and update intranet content while partnering cross-functionally to ensure information is accessible, relevant, and aligned with business priorities
Lead select Operations initiatives, including system rollouts, by overseeing timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and executing effective communication strategies
Support planning and execution of company events such as Cultural and Heritage Month celebrations and annual conferences
Create high-quality visuals and perform intermediate video editing in alignment with brand guidelines
Partner with HR and Field Training Managers to design and evolve learning content that supports operational excellence and field readiness
Respond to media inquiries, support crisis communications, and advise senior leadership on messaging strategies
Establish feedback loops and routinely assess communication tools and strategies to optimize content and enhance operational effectiveness

Required

Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft content aligned with executive voice, brand guidelines, and business objectives
Strong project management capabilities and organizational skills
Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and partner across departments
Adaptability to evolving digital communication landscapes
Resourceful problem solver with strong troubleshooting abilities
Technical proficiency in MS Office 365 (including SharePoint and MS Forms), social media platforms, graphic design tools, video editing tools, and basic web design/HTML
5+ years of experience in communications and diverse content development for remote workforces
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
Location: Overland Park, KS office preferred

Preferred

Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, or related tools
