Responsibilities

Investment Research: The Analyst will be responsible for ongoing research in support of CooksonPeirce equity portfolios. This includes company, industry, and sector research, macroeconomic research, acquiring Bloomberg terminal expertise, and other functions that will increase the quality and quantity of research that will feed directly into all equity portfolios across styles and market caps. Depending on the applicant’s expertise, performing quantitative testing of new investment ideas may also be an aspect of the position
Portfolio Operations, Trading, and Rebalancing: Under the oversight of the senior portfolio management staff, the Analyst may also be responsible for handling daily and weekly tasks related to the execution of investment portfolios. This includes utilizing the firm’s portfolio accounting software to prepare trades, interacting with custodian trading desks, investing new cash flows, and all other operational duties related to ensuring that client accounts are invested according to stated guidelines
Internal Communications: The Analyst will be expected to work with other CooksonPeirce staff to develop a working knowledge of the firm’s various business channels. Over time, this person will provide necessary investment expertise to internal business channels related to the firm’s investment product offerings

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum five years of relevant investment experience
Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Inquisitive spirit, go-getter mentality, love for financial markets

Preferred

CFA Charterholder or Advanced Degree
Series 7 and/or 65 licenses
Specific portfolio management or investment research experience
Quantitative investing knowledge and experience
Bloomberg knowledge
