Technology Solutions Designer Intern/Co-op Spring 2026 - CMTA

The Technology Solutions Designer Intern will gain hands-on training in technology systems design, working closely with engineers to produce detailed layouts and assist in various project aspects.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed layout and equipment details of technology systems of buildings
Produce one-line diagrams/schematics
Assist the design team in the process of assembling organized sets of drawings
Assist in the data collection and/or field verification
Work in conjunction with designers and engineers to help develop all aspects of a project

Required

Pursuing a BSEE, preferably a sophomore (2nd year) or a junior (3rd year)
Strong interest in Technology Systems and Electrical Engineering
CAD experience, preferably AutoCAD
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Located in or attending school in or around central KY with the ability to travel locally for field work

Preferred

Experience designing, installing, or servicing audio visual, network, or security systems and/or equipment
Revit experience preferred
