Responsibilities

Perform basic preventative maintenance on biomedical equipment following manufacture guidelines and internal protocols
Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues under supervision with guidance from senior technicians
Conduct routine tests to ensure accuracy and proper function of medical devices
Adjust and calibrate equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with performance standards
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Report equipment malfunctions or recurring issues to senior staff or supervisors
Assist in maintaining the medical equipment inventory database
Track replacement parts and coordinate orders with vendors as directed
Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, FDA, NFPA, AAMI)

CMMS softwareCertified Biomedical Equipment TechnicianBiomedical equipment maintenanceProblem-solving skillsInterpersonal skillsOrganizational skills

Required

High school diploma
Valid state driver's license
Proficiency in using CMMS software for maintenance management
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred

2 years of experienced as BMET I preferred
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) is a plus
