Grant and Finance Specialist

Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging is seeking a full-time Grant and Finance Specialist to assist with the oversight of the Older Americans Act Title III program. The role involves reviewing grantee reports, reconciling grantees, and providing administrative support to the Finance Director while ensuring compliance and data analytics.

Responsibilities

Assist with the oversight of the Older Americans Act Title III program and related policies and procedures for providers
Provide review of grantee reports, updating materials for each grant cycle
Assist in regular reconciliation of grantees, complete annual assessments and compliance review
Provide administrative support for the Finance Director in meeting with Advisory Council
Provide data analytics to the Finance Director and update within the appropriate state-sponsored systems
Assist the Finance Director with accounting responsibilities, including Accounts Payable and monthly reconciliations

Required

Experience with oversight of grant programs, specifically the Older Americans Act Title III program
Ability to review grantee reports and update materials for each grant cycle
Experience in regular reconciliation of grantees
Capability to complete annual assessments and compliance reviews
Administrative support experience, particularly for finance-related roles
Data analytics skills to provide support to the Finance Director
Proficient computer experience
Attention to detail and sound judgment
Understanding of nonprofit grantmaking
Experience with accounting responsibilities, including Accounts Payable and monthly reconciliations
