Responsibilities
Conducts research assessments on study participants
Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols
Assists with training staff
Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection
This individual is responsible for providing chairside patient assistance and retrieving all pertinent information needed for principal investigators to complete study protocols
Completes ophthalmic imaging in accordance with study protocols, uploads and process data as requested by sponsor and principal investigators
Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions
Ensures adherence to protocols and addresses queries with data collection
Can be certified as the BCVA technician on department trials
Proper and timely submission of ancillary work within the department
Oversees and assists with preparation of IRB submissions
Reviews/audits research study documents and assists with next step determinations
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of Ophthalmology experience
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Years Of Experience Required: 2
Must be able to assist patients in and out of exam chair
For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check
The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance
