Responsibilities
Oversee implementation and compliance of the site Quality Management System (QMS) with corporate policies, regulations, and industry standards
Manage document control, change management, supplier quality, audits, risk management, and training programs
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring timely resolution of issues
Oversee product/material testing and approve quality control (QC) results
Lead and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering teams
Set daily priorities, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Build a strong, collaborative team culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth
Directly manage 2 salaried and 6–10 hourly employees
Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to direct reports
Take ownership of the facility QMS and ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Inspire buy-in across the organization for quality standards and improvements
Act as a problem-solver and visionary, setting goals for the Quality Department and executing against milestones
Manage customer quality interactions, including audits, corrective actions, and quality agreements
Partner across departments to resolve quality issues and ensure customer requirements are met
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Engineering, Operations or equivalent
5+ years' experience as part of a quality organization in a highly regulated industry (preferably aerospace)
5+ years' experience managing, growing, and developing direct reports
Strong knowledge of quality standards ISO9001 and/or AS9100
Demonstrated understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts
Strong project management skills
