Responsibilities
Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts
Verifies levels, alignment, and elevation of installations
Observe work in progress to determine whether procedures followed, and materials used are in reasonable conformance with applicable specifications
Interprets blueprints and specifications for Contractor and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction
Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports
Track progress and quantity of construction work items
Perform and document testing of certain construction work items as defined in the contract documents
Qualification
Required
Construction experience required in roadway, bridge, utility and/or site civil construction required
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
Must have an excellent driving record, be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license
Applicant must be willing and able to attain necessary certifications
Preferred
CEI experience with roadway construction
Existing construction certifications (CTQP, MOT, ACI, Troxler, etc.)
