Responsibilities

Develop and execute the comprehensive US market growth strategy
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships with leading semiconductor companies, fabs, and R&D centers
Manage the entire complex sales cycle, from initial contact and technical presentation to negotiation, contract closure, and initial project onboarding
Grasp technical knowledge of compound semiconductor chip design and processes to act as a trusted advisor to clients
Articulate the unique value proposition of Sanan IC's foundry capabilities, translating complex technical advantages into clear business benefits for customers
Work closely with clients' engineering teams to understand their project requirements and collaborate with our internal R&D and engineering teams in China to develop tailored, feasible solutions
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at all levels within target accounts
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high satisfaction and coordinating support from our internal teams
Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs to inform our sales strategy and provide valuable feedback for our product roadmap
Accurately maintain and manage the sales pipeline, forecasts, and all customer interactions using our CRM system (i.e., Salesforce)
Prepare regular sales reports and strategic reviews for senior management
Represent Sanan IC at key industry conferences, trade shows, and technical symposiums
Build and eventually lead a local US team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
Establish a robust network within academia (key engineering universities) and industry to create a sustainable talent pipeline

Required

Minimum of 5 years of successful, quota-carrying sales or business development experience in the semiconductor industry
A proven track record of selling high-value, complex technical products or services (e.g., capital equipment, IP, foundry services) is required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field is mandatory
Candidates must possess enough technical depth to understand customer designs and our process capabilities
Solid understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, chip design, and the competitive landscape for compound semiconductors (i.e. GaAs, GaN, InP, GaInP)
Familiarity with the fabless semiconductor business model is crucial
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic account plans, manage long sales cycles, and close deals
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities
Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30-50% domestically and occasionally internationally

Preferred

Advanced degree (Master's, Ph.D.) in a relevant technical field
Existing network of contacts within the North American Optoelectronics, RF semiconductor and wireless communications industry
Prior experience working for or with a semiconductor foundry
Experience in a startup or high-growth technology company environment
