Responsibilities
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting requirements
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Assist in preparing and reviewing statutory filings and compliance reports for the insurance industry
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Support audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and answering auditor inquiries
Work with ERP systems (Workday preferred, but any ERP experience welcome)
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Insurance industry experience is a must (even if light)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4–6 years of progressive accounting experience at the Senior Accountant level
Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles
Proficiency in Workday or other ERP/accounting software
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Preferred
CPA a plus
Workday preferred, but any ERP experience welcome
