PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR - INTERNAL MEDICINE
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join their Internal Medicine Team. The role involves performing various medical clerical duties to ensure smooth patient transitions and effective communication within the clinic.

Responsibilities
Performing various medical clerical duties
Registration and pre-registration functions to ensure the smooth transitioning of patients through the services they require
Prepare pre-registration packets appropriately for each procedure
Ensure that copies of appropriate documentation are obtained to facilitate the billing and collections processes
Process co-payments and payments
Registered patients and update medical records
Back up all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic
Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
Ability to relate and work effectively with others
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Customer service background
Preferred
Prior clerical or medical office experience
