Responsibilities

Leads marketing, communications, and brand strategy for the Venture Accelerator, elevating visibility for UCLA's entrepreneurship initiatives
Develops and executes marketing campaigns, social media strategy, digital communications, that highlight program impact, founders, and key milestones
Manages all content creation for social media, newsletters (weekly and quarterly), website updates (per cohort), event promotion, and physical and digital marketing materials, ensuring consistent and engaging storytelling across platforms
Executes the cohort program communications, including managing application cycles, founder communications, speaker and program alumni outreach, and event logistics for flagship initiatives such as the UCLA Draper Innovation Showcase and Accelerate Program
Coordinates with vendors, campus partners, and volunteers to ensure successful delivery of all programs and events
Collects and analyzes engagement metrics, supporting monthly and annual reports that highlight program outcomes
Represents the Accelerator at UCLA and Los Angeles startup community events
Prepares presentation materials, and assists with budget monitoring to ensure timely, compliant financial transactions

Required

Marketing & Communications 2–3 years of experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital, social, and email channels
Program & Event Management Experience coordinating events, workshops, or multi-stakeholder programs with attention to logistics and communication
Partnerships & Collaboration Proven ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external partners, sponsors, or community stakeholders
Strategic Thinking & Initiative Demonstrated ability to work independently, translate abstract ideas into actionable plans, and contribute as a strategic, solutions-oriented team member
Experience in conflict mediation in-group settings
Proven ability to analyze complex problems and to develop creative and researched solutions and recommendations
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and diplomatically with MBA Students and support staff
Demonstrated computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web development and survey tools
Skill in developing computerized tracking methods for attendance and assignments
Curiosity, or ability, to use AI tools to minimize repetitive work and creative content development
Demonstrated experience in program management and student affairs or related management & operations
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively
Proven ability to manage multiple programs and events from planning through execution with professionalism and attention to detail
Demonstrated skill in developing and executing marketing and social media strategies, including content creation and campaign coordination
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize competing deadlines in fast-paced environments. Proactive and detailed oriented in daily work

Preferred

Startup & Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Experience working with startups or demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and innovation
Data & Content Tools Familiarity with analytics and creative tools such as Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Suite, or social media management platforms. Use of marketing AI tools to decrease repetitive work load a plus. Experience with CRM, analytics, creative tools, and marketing AI platforms is a plus
