They are seeking a Financial Data Analyst to collect, process, and analyze data to support decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory in Dover, DE.

Responsibilities
Gather and analyze financial data and non-financial data to create models to support forecasting, budgeting, operational, and strategic planning
Exploratory Data Analysis: Examine large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to support operational and scenario planning
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with resource management and divisions to ensure accurate data collection and reporting
Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Support internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
Assist in scenario planning, risk analysis, and strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with financial databases
Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and data analysis techniques
Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Candidates must be US citizens and able to pass a NAC-I Security Background Investigation
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred) in finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or related field
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
