Early Childhood Development Center Substitute Teacher
The Diocese of Austin is seeking a Substitute Teacher for their Early Childhood Development Center. The role involves filling in for regular classroom teachers, supervising children, and assisting with activities while upholding the philosophy of Catholic education.

Responsibilities
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Supervises children for safety and appropriate behavior
Assists students in supervised activities
Demonstrates a willingness to respond to individual student need
Reinforce positive behavior management procedures
Ensure the safety of the children by following all St. Louis Catholic Church and School, and State of Texas regulations, regarding childcare
Model appropriate play and interaction for children
Sit with children at snack and lunch time, modeling proper table manners
Respect the confidentiality of staff, children, and families
Knows all emergency procedures including location of emergency phone numbers and building emergency procedures
Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
Communicates with ECDC Director about any problems or concerns
Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
Follows direction and handles multiple tasks
Other duties as directed by the ECDC Director
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas driver's license or Government issued ID
Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period
Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check
Preferred
CDA credential is a plus
Experience working with children preferred
