Mechanical Engineer II (Onsite)

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to help design and develop high-performance communication systems. Responsibilities

Use and apply mechanical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, and support sustainment of communication products
Creation and modification of mechanical design artifacts (models, drawings)
Support prototype build and verification and pre-qualification testing
Work closely with a multidiscipline team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle, including supporting integration, testing and qualification of the final product

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Includes working knowledge of model creation, interrogation with a CAD tool (examples may include NX and/or Solidworks)
Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and/or DO-160 environmental requirements
Familiarity of electronic product packaging requirements
Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with Agile development methodologies, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware
