They are seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to support information assurance programs and ensure the security posture of mission critical systems. Responsibilities

Implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and procedures

Maintain the operational security posture of assigned systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability

Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security solution evaluations for classified systems

Support system security authorization activities in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Provide configuration management (CM) for security software, hardware, and firmware

Develop, review, and maintain security documentation, including: System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, Security Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)

Assist in the evaluation and remediation of security issues across systems and networks

Provide support to senior ISSOs and Information System Security Managers (ISSMs)

Ensure systems comply with DoD, ODNI, and customer-specific information assurance requirements

Support audits, inspections, and reviews by preparing accurate records and reports

Monitor user access, authentication, and identification mechanisms to safeguard information systems

Collaborate with Government personnel and stakeholders to resolve security concerns and improve processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required plus five (5) years experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Four (4) years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required

Experience is to include at least one (1) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools
