Manager, Hardware Engineering
Caregility is a telehealth solution provider connecting care everywhere. The Manager of Hardware Engineering is responsible for the end-to-end hardware product lifecycle, overseeing hardware design and testing teams, and ensuring the development of high-quality telehealth hardware solutions.

Responsibilities
Provide hands-on leadership for the Hardware Design Engineering and Hardware Testing/Operations Engineering teams
Own the entire hardware product development lifecycle, from concept and architecture through design, validation, certification, and production release for all APS products and new bedside hardware
Develop and execute a forward-looking hardware technology roadmap, including research and development for new patient bedside hardware solutions
Manage the department budget, resource allocation, and capital expenditures for lab equipment and tools
Establish and enforce rigorous hardware development processes, quality standards, and best practices for design, testing, and documentation
Drive compliance with all relevant medical, safety, and international standards (e.g., IEC 60601, FCC, CE, SASO) for all hardware products
Collaborate closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management
Oversee the creation and maintenance of all hardware documentation, including design specifications, test plans and test results, fabrication manuals, and Bill of Materials (BOM), etc
Lead technical design reviews, risk assessment meetings, and post-mortem analyses to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation
Work with CIO to evaluate and select external partners, contractors, and manufacturers to support design, prototyping, and production
Manage the Hardware Development Lab, ensuring it is a secure, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports current and future R&D needs
Represent the hardware engineering function in meetings, providing updates on project status, risks, and strategic initiatives
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape in telehealth and patient monitoring hardware

Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role overseeing both design and validation teams
Proven track record of successfully taking multiple hardware products from concept to mass production, preferably in a medical, telehealth, or other regulated industry
Deep understanding of hardware development processes, quality systems, and regulatory standards (IEC 60601 experience is a significant plus)
Strong knowledge of electronic components, embedded systems, AIOs, audio/video systems, and power supplies
Experience with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design and drafting review
Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to hire, develop, and motivate high-performing engineering teams
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into a tangible technology roadmap

Domestic and International travel requiring multi-night stays
Valid passport; International travel possible
Valid U.S. driver's license
Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
Limited weekend and/or night work may be required
Must be able to pass suitability requirements for certain customers
Preferred
Master's degree or MBA
Knowledge of Telemedicine and related devices
Knowledge of Computer Operating Systems, especially Linux Ubuntu
Polycom/Tandberg/Cisco certified Videoconference Engineer (TCE/CVE/etc.) or InfoComm CTS certifications
