Deputy Site Office Manager
The Office of Science - Berkeley Site Office, part of the Department of Energy, is seeking a Deputy Site Office Manager. In this role, you will manage and administer the Department of Energy's performance-based Management & Operating contracts for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, providing leadership and oversight of technical, business, and administrative services.

Responsibilities
Manages and administers the Department of Energy's (DOE) performance-based Management & Operating (M&O) contract for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)
Provides comprehensive management and oversight of technical, business, and administrative services
Directs and oversees the operation, construction, and maintenance of nationally recognized large-scale research and development facilities
Implements DOE policy and provides federal stewardship of assets at the LBNL site
Provides technical and managerial leadership for the Berkeley Site Office (BSO)
Ensures the integration of operational functions and program evaluation
Qualification
Required
You must be a United States Citizen

New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period and complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor
You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of entering the position and annually
This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing thereafter
This position has been designated as CRITICAL SENSITIVE and requires a security clearance at the Q LEVEL
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service
Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Maintaining and foster working relationships with internal and external customers to resolve critical issues; Overseeing and providing constructive guidance to projects to ensure delivery of quality results, on time, and within budget; Identifying, analyzing and implementing processes to improve process or increase the quality of the work performed within the organization and with the Laboratory
